Project Overview

Bechtel Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) is an exciting and growing business that serves the increasing demand of EPC services for customers in the semiconductor (manufacturing facilities and supply chain); electric vehicle (batteries, charging infrastructure, and production); synthetic materials; and data center markets.M&T strives to exceed our customer objectives through utilizing our agility, innovative technologies, and world class talent.M&T will solve the industries toughest challenges, building both our company and the world for the future.

Job Summary

In this role, you will plan, develop, design, coordinate, and review architectural work on large projects with unique requirements. You will prepare discipline estimates and work plans, review and approve design documents, interpret regulations, and assist with performance reporting. Your recommendations for resolving complex issues will help ensure client satisfaction with a project's architectural aspects.

Major Responsibilities
  • Plans, develops, coordinates and reviews architectural work by others
  • Prepares documentation for design and construction phases of projects
  • Participates in the preparation of architectural work packages and coordinates with other engineering disciplines, procurement, suppliers, and construction teams.
  • Coordinates with client representatives to obtain approval of architectural packages
  • Participates in the review of design documents, supplier drawings and data, material specifications, drawings, and change orders, for the project to which assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree in architecture (or international equivalent) and 8 -12 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience in the design of data centers.

Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Advanced knowledge of architectural design, production techniques, building specifications, construction documents, and project delivery methods
  • Knowledge of building codes, current industry and regulatory standards and criteria pertinent to architectural work
  • Understands and performs the standard architectural work planning, scheduling, and job hour estimating process
  • Experience in monitoring and ensuring compliance with project budget, quantities, and quality requirements
  • Knowledge and experience using BIM, Autodesk Design suite (e.g., Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks)
  • Proven ability to work within a diverse multicultural environment.
