About the team Design is a strategic lever at Wealthsimple - we don't just make things beautiful, we help shape what gets built. We're growing our Product Design team and hiring both Senior and Staff Product Designers across multiple product areas, including Investing, Banking, and more. What you'll do - Design thoughtful, high-impact product experiences that empower clients to make smarter financial decisions.
- Partner closely with product, engineering, content, and research throughout the entire product development process.
- Own the full design stack - from early discovery and prototyping to high-fidelity visuals and micro-interactions.
- Conduct research and use data to understand client needs, identify opportunities, and inform design decisions.
- Help evolve our design system and scale the product with consistency, craft, and intention.
- Raise the bar for quality and clarity - not just in your own work, but across the team.
Skills you bring - Experience designing for consumer-facing mobile apps (React Native, native iOS/Android).
- Strong UX and visual design skills, with the ability to turn complex problems into simple, elegant experiences.
- A user-first mindset and a strong product sense - you know when to sweat the details and when to move quickly.
- A collaborative approach and clear communication style.
- Experience working closely with product and engineering teams to ship real products.
