Job Summary
Continuing Education and Community Engagement's English LanguageInstitute is hiring in-person adjunct ESL instructors to teach ESLclasses on a rolling basis.No online classes
Responsibilities
Teach ESL classes according to the class objectives andmaterials
Read ELI Mission and curriculum, prepare class syllabusaccording to the provided syllabi templates, read and followguidelines outlined in the ELI Faculty Handbook
Attend one faculty meeting and 1 sponsored activities (4 hrs.total) per session
Keep attendance, report attendance daily, record grades weekly,be able to arrange for substitutes in the event of an absence,maintain communication with ELI and check email daily
Minimum Qualifications
Master's in TESOL or in a related field with a TESOLCertificate
Teaching experience, preferably in a variety of skills andlevels
Preferences
Self- motivated
Responsible
Ability to work individually and as a member of a team
Ability to communicate effectively with people from a varietyof cultures and countries
$49.00-$59.00 per hour depending on numberof classes taught
