Senior Director - Digital Engineering, Full Stack & AI/ML

Location: Remote

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director to lead our Digital Engineering practice in the US. This role will be responsible for spread-heading pre-sales efforts and driving technology innovation to expand our digital engineering practice. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in cloud-native architecture, full-stack development, digital transformation strategies and AI/ML platforms with a strong focus on delivering high-impact solutions to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Leadership & Innovation

• Define the why, what and how of Digital Engineering in Data and AI/ML ecosystem - need of multi-channel application development on top of underlying data, and AI/ML solutions.
• Stay ahead of emerging trends in cloud-native architectures, microservices, AI/ML, data platforms, and DevOps and platform engineering to build scalable and resilient platforms.
• Decipher market trends, competitor positioning and customer demand in order to position Tredence Digital engineering value proposition effectively
• Oversee end-to-end solution architecture, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.

Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement

• Lead pre-sales strategy, responding to RFPs/RFIs, crafting compelling proposals, and presenting digital transformation solutions to clients.
• Partner with sales and account teams to drive customer success, revenue growth, and strategic business opportunities.
• Engage with CXOs and business leaders to define digital roadmaps and demonstrate the business value of technology investments.

People & Practice Management

• Work closely with extended leadership in India to build and lead a high-performing engineering team with expertise in full-stack, cloud platforms, AI/ML, and modern digital technologies.
• Mentor, coach, and develop talent while fostering an innovation-driven culture.
• Oversee workforce planning, competency development, and career progression for team members.

Digital Engineering & AI/ML Excellence

• Drive the adoption of modern platform engineering practices, including CI/CD, IaC, Agile, Test Automation, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
• Craft innovative solutions to integrate AI/ML models as well as Gen AI agents into digital journey by providing decision experience. Work with cross functional teams (such as data engineering and data science teams) to realize end-to-end digital solutions.

Stakeholder & Executive Management

• Work closely with senior leadership to align digital engineering strategy with business goals.
• Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
• Establish / nurture partnerships with technology vendors, hyperscalers and academia.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 17+ years of experience in digital engineering, full-stack development, cloud platforms, and AI/ML.
• Strong pre-sales, solutioning, and consulting experience, including crafting winning proposals and driving revenue growth.
• Hands-on experience in building scalable, cloud-native architectures, microservices, API platforms, and DevOps automation.
• Proven expertise in modern technology stacks, including Java, .NET, Python, Node.js, React, Angular, Kubernetes, Azure, GCP.
• Good exposure to AI/ML frameworks, Gen AI, LLMs, NLP, Computer Vision, and Data Engineering.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing large, geographically distributed engineering teams.
• Impeccable communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Certifications in AWS/Azure/GCP, AI/ML, and Agile methodologies
