About the Role
We have an exciting role for an experienced SolidWorks PDM consultant to support a data assessment and migration initiative involving a transition from SolidWorks PDM to Siemens Teamcenter. This is a part-time, contract-based role focused on evaluating, cleaning, and preparing engineering data for a successful PLM migration.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze existing data stored in SolidWorks PDM, including parts, assemblies, drawings, and metadata
Review vault organization and underlying database structures
Contribute to the design and development of a custom data assessment and cleanup tool
Recommend best practices for PDM data cleanup and migration readiness
Define logic and rules for identifying duplicates, missing metadata, and incomplete or inconsistent datasets
Collaborate closely with technical and development teams throughout the project
Required Qualifications
Deep hands-on experience with SolidWorks PDM Professional (vaults, workflows, metadata, configurations)
Strong understanding of SolidWorks CAD data (parts, assemblies, drawings)
Knowledge of PDM SQL database schema, reporting, and custom queries
Experience supporting data migration or integration into PLM systems (Teamcenter experience preferred)
Ability to collaborate with developers on tooling solutions (Python or .NET experience is a plus)
