Position Summary
To provide dedicated Health and Safety support to the Washington Plant.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the Health and Safety and Environmental Management systems to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standard including updating and implementing policies and procedures when required
- Review and update the legal register as required
- Manage the risk assessment process
- Oversee first aid arrangements
- Organise and deliver training
- Update HSE Metrics
- Write and issue reports as required
- Write and issue Health and Safety briefings
- Carry out regular safety audits and tours
- Carry out Health and Safety & Environmental monitoring and assessments
- Chair health and safety meetings and issue minutes
- Coordinate accident and incident investigations including maintaining logs, statistics and ensuring actions are complete
- Liaise with the HSE and other regulatory bodies as required
- Develop and run health and safety initiatives
- Manage PPE
- Oversee Contractors procedures and permits to work
Any other duties commensurate with the position as and when required.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualified to a minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate level
- At least 5 year's experience of Health, Safety and environmental practice in a manufacturing environment
- Experience as an internal auditor
- Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential
- Must have practical auditing experience of ISO 45001 and ISO14001
