About the Role

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support attorneys in a fast-paced insurance defense and general liability practice. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys.
  • Draft and prepare correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery, reports, and other legal documents.
  • Assist with electronic filing and filings in Florida State and Federal Courts.
  • Manage calendars, including trial and discovery deadlines.
  • Assist with trial preparation, scheduling, and case organization.
  • Monitor case files and escalate issues requiring attorney attention.
  • Handle incoming calls and provide general administrative support.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of legal assistant experience supporting litigators, preferably in civil defense.
  • Insurance defense and general liability experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Florida State and Federal Court E-Filing.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Dictation experience preferred.
  • Excellent drafting, communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage a high-volume workload.

Pay Details: $24.00 to $26.00 per year
