About the Role

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing organization in the transportation and logistics industry to identify a motivated Logistics Coordinator for an exciting contract opportunity. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys solving operational challenges, and takes pride in delivering excellent service to both customers and transportation partners.
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring freight moves efficiently by coordinating shipments, monitoring delivery performance, and supporting daily transportation operations. You'll collaborate with internal teams, carriers, and customers to keep shipments on track and maintain a high level of service. This position will sit onsite in Columbus, OH
Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound freight movements across multiple regions and business channels
  • Work closely with carrier partners to secure transportation capacity and support daily shipment execution
  • Track loads throughout the transportation lifecycle and proactively address delivery delays or service concerns
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding shipment status, scheduling updates, and transportation inquiries
  • Maintain accurate transportation records, update systems, and process operational documentation
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve shipment discrepancies, support freight-related inquiries, and improve processes
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or freight operations
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-first approach to problem solving
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Comfortable working across multiple systems, applications, and screens simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy while meeting deadlines
