About the Role
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing & Inbound Logistics Coordinator to support procurement and supply chain operations across North America. This role is responsible for coordinating purchase orders, managing inbound shipments, tracking inventory flow, and partnering with logistics providers to ensure products are delivered accurately, on time, and cost-effectively. The ideal candidate will have experience in purchasing, logistics, supply chain, or materials planning within a manufacturing environment and possess strong SAP skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain purchase orders based on inventory and material requirements plans.
  • Monitor open purchase orders and confirm delivery dates, quantities, pricing, and shipment details.
  • Coordinate inbound shipments and ensure required documentation is distributed to key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouses, and transportation partners to resolve shipment issues and prevent delays.
  • Update purchase order and delivery information within SAP to maintain accurate supply chain visibility.
  • Process goods receipts and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Communicate logistics delays, shipment risks, or supply disruptions to internal teams in a timely manner.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and third-party logistics providers to improve service levels and operational efficiency.
  • Track logistics performance metrics, costs, and vendor performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in supply chain planning and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent related experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, inbound logistics, supply chain, inventory planning, or procurement.
  • Experience in the chemical, food manufacturing, ingredients, or related industry is highly desirable.
  • SAP experience is a strong requirement; experience with other ERP systems will also be considered.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments, suppliers, and logistics partners.
  • Experience working with international suppliers and shipment coordination is a plus.
Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
