About the Role

Engineering Project Manager
**Build the projects that keep communities running**
Not every project manager gets to point at a treatment plant, pipeline, or critical utility upgrade and say, "I helped build that."
We're partnering with a highly respected infrastructure organization that's investing heavily in water and wastewater projects across Arizona. They're looking for an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead capital projects from initial concept through construction and commissioning.
If you enjoy owning projects, solving complex challenges, collaborating with engineers and contractors, and seeing tangible results from your work, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
What You'll Be Doing:
You'll be the person bringing major infrastructure projects to life.
From planning and design to construction and project closeout, you'll:
✅ Lead capital projects from start to finish
✅ Manage budgets, schedules, scope, and risk
✅ Partner with engineering consultants and construction teams
✅ Review designs and technical documents
✅ Support permitting and regulatory approvals
✅ Oversee construction progress and quality
✅ Communicate project updates to stakeholders and leadership
✅ Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
No micromanagement. No getting stuck behind spreadsheets all day. You'll have real ownership and visibility on projects that directly impact communities.
What We're Looking For
You'll be a strong fit if you have:
  • Wastewater or water infrastructure experience (required)
  • An Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree
  • 5+ years of project management, engineering, or construction experience
  • Experience managing capital projects ($100K+ and above)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Bonus Points For:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • ADEQ permitting experience
  • Mining industry experience
  • Water/wastewater treatment plant experience
