Senior Accountant | Accounting Manager TrackAbout the OpportunityOur client is seeking a driven and high-performing Senior Accountant to join their growing finance and accounting team. This role offers a unique opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to expand their responsibilities and pursue a clear path to Accounting Manager within the next 1-2 years.

Key Responsibilities- Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations
- Record and review journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries
- Analyze financial results and investigate account variances
- Support sales tax reporting and compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate accounting records within QuickBooks
- Prepare financial reports and provide meaningful business analysis
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies
- Research and resolve accounting issues using sound judgment and critical thinking
- Partner with internal stakeholders to communicate financial information effectively
- Assume increasing levels of responsibility and leadership as the organization grows
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a Senior Accountant capacity
- Strong experience managing month-end close processes
- Solid understanding of balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger accounting
- Experience with sales tax compliance and reporting
- Proficiency with QuickBooks
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and take ownership of responsibilities
- Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset
- Career aspirations to move into an Accounting Manager role in the near future
