About the Role

About the Opportunity
Our client, a growing manufacturing organization in the Noblesville area, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This role will be a key contributor to the day-to-day accounting function and will partner closely with operations, supply chain, and executive leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger experience, a manufacturing accounting background, and the ability to oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and month-end close activities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Oversee accounts payable and backup accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Monitor customer collections and vendor payments
  • Support cash management and working capital initiatives
  • Assist with inventory accounting, reconciliations, and cycle count activities
  • Analyze financial results and investigate variances
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
  • Partner with operations, procurement, and leadership teams to improve processes and reporting
  • Assist with annual audits, tax support, and compliance requirements
  • Contribute to ERP enhancements and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close procedures
  • Experience managing or overseeing AP and AR functions
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • ERP system experience
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturing accounting experience
  • Inventory accounting experience
  • Work-in-Process (WIP) accounting experience
  • Cost accounting exposure
  • Power BI or reporting tool experience
  • CPA or CPA-track preferred
Compensation & Benefits
