Senior Accountant
Location: Anaheim, CA
Salary: $80,000-100,000 + Overtime (Non-exempt)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday
About the Role
We are seeking a high-performing Senior Accountant to join our accounting team in Anaheim, CA. This position will play an important role in managing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close processes while working closely with the Controller.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who is looking to take the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, a passion for process improvement, and the ability to mentor junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Controller in ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of financial statements
  • Manage general ledger activities, including monthly journal entries, accruals, supporting schedules, and account reconciliations
  • Perform cash management activities and support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
  • Assist with payroll-related duties and processes
  • Research and resolve accounting issues through analytical problem-solving and technical accounting research
  • Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Support compliance initiatives and ensure adherence to internal control requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and efficiencies
  • Participate in ERP/accounting system enhancements and automation initiatives
  • Assist with financial analysis and other accounting projects as needed
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff
  • Take on additional projects and responsibilities as delegated by management
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, AP, AR, and payroll
  • Experience with Sage Intacct required
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including lookups, pivot tables, and complex formulas
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration with an accounting concentration, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, organized, and efficient
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated interest in process improvement and developing accounting systems and controls
  • Leadership mindset with the ability and desire to mentor junior staff
Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
