About the Role

LHH is partnering with a client in the Columbus area to identify a Senior Accountant for a contract opportunity. This position will provide coverage for a medical leave and is expected to last 4-5 months, with potential for extension. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and can quickly step in to support ongoing operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Analyze financial data and investigate variances to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain general ledger integrity and support day-to-day accounting operations
  • Assist with preparation of internal and external financial reports
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies
  • Support audit requests and ensure proper documentation of processes and controls
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist with implementation
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting processes
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) preferred
Pay Details: $36.00 to $42.00 per hour
