About the Role

Senior Accountant LHH is seeking an experienced Accountant to support financial reporting, account reconciliation, tax compliance, and general ledger activities for a growing client. This role will partner closely with financial leadership to ensure accurate financial records, maintain regulatory compliance, and support ongoing business operations through analysis and reporting. This position is Direct Hire (Permanent placement) and will pay between $70K and $85K Responsibilities
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including assets, liabilities, operating expenses, and intercompany transactions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
  • Analyze financial data and provide reporting on sales, profitability, cash flow, and operating performance.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash activity to ensure accuracy and proper controls.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Track, record, and reconcile fixed assets.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and internal stakeholders during audits and financial reviews.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records, financial files, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare and file sales and use tax returns and other indirect tax filings as required.
  • Research tax matters, support tax registrations, and respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare and distribute required tax reporting forms, including various annual information returns.
  • Create and maintain vendor and customer master data within the accounting system.
  • Support process improvements, reporting enhancements, and special projects as assigned.
  • Utilize Excel and other business systems to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
  • 4+ years of accounting experience in a corporate or business environment.
  • Equivalent combination of education and extensive relevant experience may be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
  • Experience with sales and use tax compliance and regulatory reporting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience supporting audits and preparing year-end work papers.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
