About the Role

Are you a well-rounded accounting professional who enjoys stepping into projects, solving problems, and making an immediate impact? We are partnering with a growing organization in the Triad area seeking a Senior Accountant for a contract assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in dynamic environments and can quickly adapt to new systems, processes, and priorities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support general accounting functions, including month-end and year-end close activities
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting schedules
  • Analyze financial data and assist with identifying process improvements
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Support audits and special accounting projects as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information
  • Leverage accounting systems and reporting tools to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience working across multiple accounting functions with a broad accounting knowledge base
  • Advanced proficiency with ERP systems and accounting software
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to work independently and quickly adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Pay Details: $35.00 to $45.00 per hour
