A confidential Houston-based employer is seeking a
Senior Accountant for a
temporary-to-hire opportunity. This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys owning the day-to-day financial operations for multiple business entities and working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage accounting activities for multiple business units/entities
- Lead monthly close activities, including journal entries and account analysis
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
- Monitor cash activity and support forecasting efforts
- Research and resolve accounting variances and discrepancies
- Partner with operational teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information
- Support ongoing process improvements and ERP-driven workflows
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Full-cycle accounting background
- Multi-entity accounting experience strongly preferred
- Experience working within an ERP environment
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
- Sage experience highly preferred
