LHH is partnering with a large company to search for a temporary to hire Senior Accountant for their team. The ideal candidate will have their bachelor's degree in accounting and at least five progressive years of accounting experience. This role handles month-end close, assisting with SEC reporting, and analyzing variances. You will work with a team but the manager is looking for someone with strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently without much oversight. This position is hybrid in the south Seattle, WA area.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare and post journal entries while supporting month-end and year-end close.
- Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving variances.
- Review financial data from multiple systems to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support accounting for leases, fixed assets, foreign currency, and intercompany transactions.
- Analyze P&L and balance sheet activity across multiple entities and business units.
- Assist with SEC reporting, including 10-Q and 10-K support schedules and disclosures.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and strengthen internal controls.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Five or more years of accounting experience.
- CPA or public accounting experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP, Blackline, or similar ERP systems preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Details: $45.00 to $47.00 per hour
