About the Opportunity Our client, a growing manufacturing organization in the Noblesville area, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This role will be a key contributor to the day-to-day accounting function and will partner closely with operations, supply chain, and executive leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger experience, a manufacturing accounting background, and the ability to oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and month-end close activities.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable and backup accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Monitor customer collections and vendor payments
- Support cash management and working capital initiatives
- Assist with inventory accounting, reconciliations, and cycle count activities
- Analyze financial results and investigate variances
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
- Partner with operations, procurement, and leadership teams to improve processes and reporting
- Assist with annual audits, tax support, and compliance requirements
- Contribute to ERP enhancements and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close procedures
- Experience managing or overseeing AP and AR functions
- Advanced Excel skills
- ERP system experience
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications - Manufacturing accounting experience
- Inventory accounting experience
- Work-in-Process (WIP) accounting experience
- Cost accounting exposure
- Power BI or reporting tool experience
- CPA or CPA-track preferred
Compensation & Benefits - $95,000 - $110,000 base salary
