LHH has partnered with our client, a privately held manufacturing company, that is seeking a Staff Accountant. This role will focus on fixed assets and sales & use tax and assisting the corporate accounting team.
Key Responsibilities: - Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and asset tracking
- Support sales and use tax filings and related compliance activities
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Analyze financial data and research account variances
- Prepare reconciliations and ensure accuracy of accounting records
- Assist with financial reporting and ad hoc analysis
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes and support business objectives
- Contribute to ongoing accounting and finance projects as needed
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Experience with fixed Assets and Sales & Use Tax
- Vertex experience a plus
- Strong Microsoft Excel and overall computer proficiency
Compensation: $60,000-$80,000
