About the Role

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in grades 7-12 as a School Psychologist for the 20262027 academic year. This full-time position runs from ASAP through June 2027, offering you the chance to make a substantial impact in a school community near Winsted, CT. As the dedicated psychologist on site, you will manage a robust evaluation caseload, ensuring eligible students receive the services they need to thrive.

Your focus will be on providing comprehensive assessmentsconducting all initial evaluations and re-evaluations for the assigned middle and high school caseload. No counseling services are required, allowing you to concentrate on your expertise in evaluation and report writing. Hours are Monday through Friday, with a consistent weekly schedule of 3537.5 hours.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification for Connecticut
  • Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments for students in grades 712
  • Proficiency in administering, scoring, and interpreting a range of assessment tools
  • Thorough understanding of special education eligibility processes
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with teams, students, and families
  • Prior experience in a school setting as a psychologist preferred

Position Responsibilities:

  • Complete all initial evaluations and re-evaluations for assigned students
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student needs
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports for eligibility meetings
  • Contribute expertise during IEP meetings and planning sessions
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records
  • Stay current with Connecticut regulations and best practices in school psychology
