Position Title: Superintendent / Field Manager II – QC / SSHO

Company: Semper Tek Inc.

Salary/Pay Rate: $110,000–$130,000 per year, based on experience

Location: Robins / Dublin, GA area preferred – Traveling Superintendent candidates will also be considered

Project Scope: Federal / Healthcare Construction Projects

Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR

The Opportunity

Semper Tek Inc. is seeking an experienced Superintendent / Field Manager II to manage mid-size, moderately complex construction projects. This position oversees the total construction effort to ensure projects are completed in accordance with project documents, budget, schedule, safety and quality requirements, and client expectations.

The ideal candidate has experience autonomously managing successful construction projects and is comfortable serving in a Superintendent/QC/SSHO capacity. Candidates located in the Robins / Dublin, GA area are preferred, but experienced traveling superintendents willing to travel throughout the United States will also be considered.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Manage mid-size construction projects and oversee total construction efforts.
  • Ensure projects adhere to contract documents, budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
  • Oversee all project safety and quality requirements.
  • Maintain jobsite safety that meets or exceeds OSHA regulations, EM385 requirements, and Semper Tek Inc.'s Safety Program.
  • Manage multiple projects within a client campus when required.
  • Maintain strong client relationships throughout project execution.
  • Plan and establish the flow of field work activities.
  • Monitor and update project schedules to identify opportunities to reduce the critical path.
  • Arrange and schedule inspections with government officials.
  • Coordinate all field activities and establish an efficient jobsite layout.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly project site.
  • Conduct weekly subcontractor meetings to plan, organize, and control project activities.
  • Maintain daily logs documenting jobsite activities and events.
  • Implement and maintain quality control programs and life-safety checkout procedures.
  • Verify materials arriving onsite match approved submittals.
  • Maintain productive working relationships with trade partners.
  • Review monthly billings and projections with the Project Manager and assist in effectively managing job costs.
  • Proactively identify and resolve field issues involving subcontractors and/or project documents.
  • Ensure ICRA standards are properly implemented.
  • Enforce company Drug, Alcohol, and Harassment policies.
  • May supervise Field Manager I / Superintendent/QC/SSHO personnel.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 5–10 years of experience autonomously managing successful construction projects.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
  • First Aid/CPR Certification.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret federal contract documents.
  • Knowledge of federal safety requirements, including EM385.
  • Ability to interpret operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the United States.
  • Ability to work from project jobsites.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of construction experience specializing in the federal and/or healthcare sector.
  • Proficiency with Procore.
  • Understanding of Primavera P6 scheduling.
  • Professional & Physical Requirements
  • Ability to learn new tasks and maintain focus in an active construction environment.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks without direct supervision.
  • Strong reading comprehension and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to perform effectively under deadlines and productivity requirements.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to assess work for accuracy, neatness, and completeness.
  • Ability to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps.
  • Ability to utilize construction personnel hoists and navigate active construction areas.
  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and construction-related equipment as required.
  • Ability to move objects weighing approximately 20–50 pounds.
  • Ability to properly utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Compensation

  • $110,000–$130,000 per year, based on experience.
  • Candidates above the advertised salary range may still be considered based on experience and overall fit.

Schedule & Travel

  • Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt
  • Jobsite-based position.
  • Travel within the United States is required.
  • Hours will generally fall within regular business hours.
  • Weekend and/or night work may occasionally be required due to contract or logistical requirements.
  • Robins / Dublin, GA area candidates preferred; traveling superintendent candidates will also be considered.
