Technical Sales Specialist / Inside Sales Engineer – Drive Centrifugal Pump & Rotating Equipment Solutions for Mosherflo Pumps
Job Overview:

- Project Scope: Industrial Centrifugal Pump Selection, Application Engineering, and Technical Distribution Support

The Opportunity
You will serve as a core technical applications expert, translating complex industrial customer requirements into accurate centrifugal pump selections and proposals. This role provides experienced rotating-equipment professionals the opportunity to leverage their deep technical expertise in a stable, home-based environment with zero constant travel.
Working directly alongside company leadership, you will play an active role in driving sales growth and supporting critical industrial applications.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Evaluate customer and distributor RFQs to select and size optimal centrifugal pumps and related industrial equipment.
- Review technical specifications, datasheets, pump curves, and fluid parameters to generate accurate proposals.
- Cross-reference competitor pump models to identify and position appropriate high-performance Mosherflo replacements.
- Audit incoming purchase orders against active quotations before releasing orders into production.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, purchasing, production, and accounting teams to ensure seamless order execution.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot application or system issues for distributors and industrial end users.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term partnerships with distributors while maintaining accurate sales records.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of technical sales, application engineering, or inside sales experience in the industrial equipment sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of centrifugal pumps, rotating equipment, or fluid handling systems.
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical pump performance curves, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency with standard computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Windows navigation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related industrial discipline.
- Direct experience working with mechanical seals, metallurgy selection, and complex industrial fluid parameters.
- Prior field-service, maintenance, or technical distribution background in rotating equipment seeking a stable onsite role.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive base salary ranging from $70,000 to $95,000 per year, depending on pump industry experience.
