The Opportunity
You will drive quality control operations across mission-critical federal construction projects for agencies including NAVFAC, USACE, and the U.S. Air Force. This role offers the opportunity to oversee complex military facility builds while leveraging over four decades of stability established by Insight Environmental Engineering Construction Inc. You will serve as the primary authority for project standards, ensuring absolute compliance with federal specifications and safety regulations.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Plan and manage the overall Quality Control Program in compliance with federal guidelines and contract requirements.
- Execute Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up inspections using the standard 3-Phase QC Process.
- Review and approve submittals, RFIs, and daily quality control documentation to maintain compliance.
- Coordinate daily activities with superintendents, project managers, and government quality assurance teams.
- Interface directly with Contracting Officers and CMEs to maintain transparent technical communication.
- Identify and resolve field quality issues proactively to prevent project delays and non-conformance.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Active USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) Certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of construction experience on projects valued at over $10M.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience acting as a Quality Control Manager on federal projects.
- Proven experience working on DoD, NAVFAC, USACE, or Air Force construction initiatives.
- Deep expertise in construction drawings, technical specifications, and submittal workflows.
- U.S. Citizenship required with the capability to work onsite in El Segundo, CA.
- Experience managing SCIF construction projects and navigating ICD-705 standards.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Background working on secure or mission-critical military facilities.
- Active OSHA 30-Hour Certification and working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 requirements.
- Active security clearance.
