The Opportunity
You will serve as a premier operational leader driving heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction planning through final closeout across the region. This high-impact role empowers you to direct multi-disciplinary teams, oversee substantial project budgets, and manage vital public and private client relationships. You will lead high-profile infrastructure initiatives within an organization that actively invests in its people and values executive field leadership.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Manage complex heavy civil construction projects to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budgetary goals are achieved.
- Oversee complete project lifecycles, including estimating, financial cost control, change order management, and monthly forecasting.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire project engineers, field superintendents, and site personnel to foster professional growth.
- Serve as the primary representative to owners, DOT officials, municipal agencies, and subcontractor teams.
- Drive a culture of jobsite safety and enforce full compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
- Utilize Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project to build and maintain detailed critical path project schedules.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of professional heavy civil construction experience.
- At least 5 years of successful performance operating as a dedicated Project Manager in heavy civil infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience managing public works or private civil projects including roadways, bridges, utilities, or earthwork.
- Strong operational knowledge of project scheduling software and comprehensive cost control systems.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Prior project management experience directly interfacing with Department of Transportation (DOT) agencies.
- Valid OSHA 30 safety certification.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
