The Opportunity

Knoerdel Foundation Specialists, LLC is looking for a dependable CDL Truck Driver / Equipment Operator to support our residential and commercial concrete foundation operations.

This is not a driving-only position. You will operate specialized construction trucks, load and secure materials, deliver equipment and supplies, and actively support loading and unloading operations at job sites.

Our fleet includes crane trucks, material-hauling trucks, and aggregate slinger trucks. We value drivers who take pride in their equipment, work safely, and are willing to learn different vehicles and responsibilities.

If you're a hands-on CDL driver who enjoys operating equipment and being part of a construction team, this could be a great fit.

Equipment and Vehicles You May Operate

  • Crane Trucks: Used for moving concrete forms, materials, and job-site equipment. Experience operating truck-mounted cranes is a plus.
  • Aggregate Slinger Trucks: Specialized trucks equipped with high-speed conveyor belts for placing stone, gravel, and other aggregate materials.
  • Material / Accessory Trucks: Heavy-duty trucks used to transport concrete forms, job-site accessories, and other construction equipment between the shop and job sites.
  • Additional Construction Equipment: Loading, material-handling, and support equipment as assigned, with appropriate training and authorization.

Experience with every type of truck is not required. We value safe operators who are willing and able to learn different vehicles.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Safely operate commercial trucks transporting concrete foundation materials, equipment, forms, and supplies.
  • Load, organize, secure, and unload construction materials, including rebar, snap ties, concrete forms, and job-site accessories.
  • Operate or learn specialized trucks and equipment, including crane trucks, aggregate slinger trucks, and material-hauling vehicles.
  • Assist with crane truck operations, including safely accessing elevated operator stations when assigned and trained.
  • Transport stone, gravel, and other aggregate materials using specialized delivery equipment.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
  • Follow DOT requirements, vehicle weight limits, and proper load-securing procedures.
  • Navigate active residential developments and commercial construction sites with attention to pedestrians, parked vehicles, overhead hazards, and restricted access.
  • Coordinate with foremen, project managers, and field crews to deliver materials where and when needed.
  • Help prepare trucks, equipment, and materials for daily job-site operations.
  • Maintain company vehicles and equipment in clean, safe, working condition.
  • Adapt to different trucks, delivery assignments, and changing project schedules as needed.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid commercial driver's license appropriate for assigned vehicles.
  • Ability and willingness to perform hands-on loading, unloading, and equipment-related work in addition to driving.
  • Working knowledge of commercial vehicle safety, inspections, and load securement.
  • Ability to maneuver commercial trucks in active construction environments and restricted-access areas.
  • Willingness to learn the operating requirements of specialized construction equipment and different vehicles.
  • Dependability, punctuality, safe working habits, and strong attention to equipment care.
  • Ability to perform the essential physical responsibilities of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Willingness to report to the Georgetown-area facility and travel to local and regional job sites.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid Class B CDL or higher — highly preferred.
  • Two or more years of commercial driving experience.
  • Experience transporting construction materials, aggregate, concrete forms, or heavy equipment.
  • Crane truck or truck-mounted crane operating experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with slinger trucks or other specialized construction vehicles.
  • Experience working around concrete, masonry, foundations, or active construction sites.
  • Experience loading, unloading, and safely securing heavy or irregular construction materials.
  • Ability to operate multiple commercial vehicle types or willingness to train across the fleet.

Drivers with newer CDLs who demonstrate strong safety awareness, reliability, and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position that involves both commercial driving and construction-related physical activities.

  • Lift and handle materials weighing approximately 50–60 pounds as needed.
  • Frequently bend, reach, climb, and move around trucks and construction equipment.
  • Climb into and out of truck cabs and access equipment operating positions safely.
  • Sit for extended periods while operating commercial vehicles.
  • Stand, walk, and work around active construction sites.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather and job-site conditions.

All essential physical functions must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

Compensation & Benefits

  • 25.00–35.00 per hour, depending on commercial driving experience, equipment-operating ability, and versatility.
  • Overtime earning opportunities.
  • Opportunities to work on prevailing-wage projects.
  • 401(k) retirement savings program with company matching.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave.
