The Opportunity
You will serve as the critical technical specialist leading final-phase testing, configuration, and verification across commercial and residential solar installations.
In this role, you will take ownership of inverter programming, platform monitoring setups, and full-system turn-ons alongside project managers and field teams.

How You Will Make an Impact
- Configure, calibrate, and verify remote system monitoring platforms and data communication gateways for turnkey solar installations.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex electrical, DC collection, and inverter faults prior to final utility sign-off.
- Execute comprehensive pre-commissioning testing, insulation resistance testing, and polarity checks according to manufacturer specifications.
- Verify and enforce strict compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) guidelines.
- Complete rigorous system commissioning documentation and pass inspection records to superintendents, project managers, and clients.
- Inspect and maintain specialized personal protective equipment (PPE), meters, and test diagnostic tools to sustain high jobsite safety.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in solar photovoltaic (PV) installation, service, or system commissioning.
- Valid OSHA 10 certification and an active driver's license.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Deep technical understanding of DC electrical theory, string wiring, and three-phase power systems.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret electrical schematics, engineering plans, single-line diagrams, and manufacturer technical manuals.
- Proficiency utilizing digital diagnostic tools, laptop-based commissioning applications, and remote monitoring software.
- Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work comfortably across elevated commercial rooftops and structures.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Active Journeyman Electrician license.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical safety protocols, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and basic commercial wiring techniques.
- Prior hands-on experience interfacing directly with utility reps, local inspectors, and equipment manufacturers during operational handoff.
