HR Generalist – Champion Culture and People Operations Across Multi-State Locations

The Opportunity
You will serve as an essential HR leader supporting team members and operations across our Scottsdale, AZ and Las Vegas, NV offices. Reporting directly to the President, you will design and deliver end-to-end people strategies that drive talent acquisition, compliance, and employee retention. This role grants you the autonomy to shape company culture while ensuring our teams feel connected and supported across all locations.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Drive full-cycle recruitment initiatives to attract and secure top talent for field and office teams.
- Manage seamless onboarding and training workflows that integrate new hires into our core values.
- Administer employee benefits programs and maintain accurate digital personnel records across both state divisions.
- Conduct regular internal audits to maintain full compliance with state and federal labor regulations.
- Process employee payroll time data efficiently to ensure timely submissions to the finance department.
- Travel periodically to regional offices to assess workforce needs and provide dedicated on-site personnel support.
- Champion organizational values of teamwork, empowerment, integrity, and service in all team interactions.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Active SHRM certification (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP).
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive human resources experience with dedicated recruiting responsibilities.
- Working knowledge of federal employment laws including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, USERRA, and FLSA.
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills capable of building trust across all organizational levels.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% between Scottsdale, AZ and Las Vegas, NV offices.
- Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential employee matters with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous human resources experience within the general construction or commercial contracting industry.
- Experience managing multi-state HR compliance and supporting distributed field or office teams.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual exempt salary ranging from $65,000 to $85,000.
- Health insurance eligibility after 60 days, effective the 1st of the following month (50% employer contribution for year one).
