About the Role

Chemistry Expert (Masters/PhDs)

What if your years of chemistry expertise could directly shape how AI reasons through some of the most complex scientific problems in the world? We're looking for Chemistry Masters and PhD holders to design, solve, and evaluate advanced chemistry problems that teach AI to think like a scientist.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for working chemists, researchers, and academics who want to put their deep domain knowledge to work in a meaningful new way. No AI background needed — your chemistry expertise is what matters.

What You'll Do
  • Design and develop complex, real-world chemistry problems spanning organic, inorganic, physical, and computational chemistry
  • Solve and review advanced problems to ensure scientific accuracy, depth, and rigor
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to improve AI reasoning capabilities
  • Apply computational chemistry tools or coding skills where relevant to create rich, multi-layered problem sets
  • Evaluate and quality-check chemistry content for clarity, correctness, and scientific integrity
Who You Are
  • Holds a Master's or PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field
  • Deep expertise in at least one of: organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry
  • Comfortable working with Python or computational chemistry software (e.g., Gaussian, VASP)
  • Exceptional written communicator — you can explain complex chemistry clearly and precisely
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated when working independently
  • Fluent in English
Nice to Have
  • Prior experience with data annotation, content evaluation, or quality assurance
  • Familiarity with AI tools or machine learning workflows
  • Experience writing or reviewing scientific content for educational or research purposes
  • Background in curriculum design, academic publishing, or technical writing
Why Join Us
  • Work directly with world-leading AI research labs on cutting-edge model training
  • Fully remote and flexible — design your own schedule around your existing commitments
  • Freelance autonomy with the structure and consistency of meaningful, task-based work
  • Apply your scientific expertise in a novel, high-impact domain at the frontier of AI
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
