About the Role
Biology Masters – AI Data Trainer
We're looking for Masters-level biology professionals to help train and improve cutting-edge AI models. At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs — and now we need your scientific expertise to make AI smarter, more accurate, and more rigorous in the life sciences.
Your deep knowledge of biology, biochemistry, or biotechnology will directly shape how the next generation of AI systems reasons through complex scientific problems. No AI background required — your subject matter expertise is what matters.
Organization: Alignerr
Type: Hourly Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
Design challenging, graduate-level biology questions to rigorously test AI reasoning and knowledge
Develop clear, step-by-step model solutions with scientifically sound logic
Evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy, depth, and quality of reasoning
Identify gaps or errors in AI outputs across domains such as molecular biology, genetics, physiology, and biochemistry
Collaborate with researchers to develop and refine benchmarks spanning undergraduate to Masters-level topics
Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
Currently pursuing or have completed a Masters degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a closely related field
Strong scientific reasoning and advanced problem-solving skills across biology disciplines
Able to communicate complex concepts clearly and provide structured, actionable feedback in writing
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and reliable
No prior AI or data annotation experience required
Nice to Have
Experience in data annotation, quality evaluation, or scientific writing
Familiarity with AI tools or language model interfaces
Background in research, lab work, or academic publishing
Why Join Us
Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside world-leading research labs
Fully remote and flexible — set your own hours and work from anywhere
Freelance perks: high autonomy, variety of tasks, and international collaboration
Make a meaningful contribution to how AI understands and communicates science
Potential for ongoing work and contract renewals
