About the Role
Field Service Technician
Field service technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of various systems and equipment. They are responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment at client sites, providing technical support, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Working closely with HQ teams, the position provides critical support to the success of our proactive customer focused services.
Accountabilities
Installation and Start-up: Provide guidance on installing new equipment, carry out start-up after installation to ensure proper functioning of systems
Trouble-shooting: Identify and diagnose problems with equipment onsite and remotely, determine the root cause of issues and develop effective solutions; perform routine maintenance tasks such as inspections, clean up of components
Repair and replacement: Repair or replace faulty components, parts, and systems, and ensure the timely restoration of equipment to its operational state; process warranty claims by coordinating with global team
Technical support: Provide technical guidance and advice to customers, answer questions, and resolve technical issues; provide operator training and guidance on maintenance
Warranty Claims: Process warranty claims as joint effort with customer service teams to ensure timely delivery of warranty parts; identify parts to be replaced under warranty during & after a site inspection
Documentation: Maintain accurate work orders and service reports, including equipment maintenance, repairs, and replacement, and generate reports as required
