This role is responsible for performing on-site inspections of electric utility substations during construction, expansion, and upgrade projects.The individual will serve as the field-facing extension of the engineering team, verifying that installed equipment and construction activities align with approved designs, specifications, and standards.They will document field conditions in detail and provide clear, actionable reports to the headquarters engineering team to support accurate CAD updates and design revisions.
Daily responsibilities include: • Perform routine and ad-hoc field inspections of substations under construction or modification • Verify construction and equipment installation against approved drawings, specifications, and standards • Identify discrepancies, constructability issues, and deviations from design • Capture detailed field documentation including notes, photos, measurements, and redlines • Produce clear, structured inspection reports for engineering and design teams • Communicate findings effectively with substation engineering, design, and project teams • Coordinate with construction personnel while maintaining an independent inspection perspective We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
