This is a senior-level technical leadership role focused on designing, deploying, and optimizing Microsoft Purview and enterprise data security solutions across complex client environments. You will lead large-scale implementations that strengthen data protection, compliance, and governance across organizations of varying size and maturity. The role combines deep hands-on engineering with architectural ownership, requiring the ability to shape strategy as well as execute advanced configurations. You will play a key role in enabling secure data practices through classification, DLP, insider risk management, and information protection frameworks. In addition, you will act as a trusted technical advisor in client engagements, supporting solution design, delivery excellence, and pre-sales activities. The environment is highly collaborative, consulting-driven, and centered on Microsoft security innovation. This position also includes mentoring responsibilities and opportunities to influence best practices across teams.
Accountabilities:- Lead design, architecture, and deployment of Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365 compliance solutions for enterprise clients.
- Implement and optimize data security controls including Information Protection, Data Classification, DLP, and Insider Risk Management.
- Develop advanced compliance policies, automation workflows, and reporting frameworks aligned with client requirements.
- Own and assess data security maturity across client environments, providing strategic recommendations for improvement.
- Design executive and operational dashboards and reporting structures to communicate compliance posture and risk insights.
- Lead integration efforts across Microsoft Purview and broader Microsoft 365 security and compliance ecosystems.
- Serve as a senior technical delivery lead for complex, enterprise-scale client projects.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level engineers, elevating team capability and consistency.
- Support pre-sales activities including technical scoping, solution design, and product demonstrations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, knowledge sharing, and development of best practices across teams.
Requirements: - 5+ years of experience implementing security and compliance technologies in enterprise environments.
- Advanced hands-on expertise with Microsoft Purview, including DLP, Information Protection, Insider Risk Management, and Data Classification.
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365 Purview Center administration and configuration.
- Deep understanding of data governance principles and enterprise security frameworks.
- Proven ability to implement sensitivity labels, retention policies, and complex compliance rules at scale.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell or compliance query languages.
- Strong communication skills with experience leading client-facing technical discussions and workshops.
- Microsoft security/compliance certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
- Experience integrating Microsoft Sentinel, E5 compliance tools, or broader Microsoft security stack is a plus.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, or CCPA is highly desirable.
- Consulting or professional services experience in customer-facing environments is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of Zero Trust principles applied to data security is a plus.
