Senior Implementation Analyst

Responsibilities

Octave is looking for a Senior Implementation Analyst to join our team. We are seeking a professional to join a team of services that supports our solutions, addressing specific demands from a client in the Electric Power Distribution sector, as well as working on new projects with solutions based on our GIS system – NetWorks applied to large companies (sectors such as oil & gas, energy, infrastructure, mining, process plants). We are looking for a profile that meets:

• Clear and effective communication.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to explain solutions and limitations of the tool.
• Ability to work under pressure in projects with critical start dates, scope changes, and multiple stakeholders.
• Develop high availability database solutions.
• Develop, implement, and optimize routines using PL/SQL (Oracle), C#, HTML, JavaScript, and XML.
• Review and analyze ongoing business requirements.
• Create reports.
• Analyze existing SQL queries and suggest new ones to optimize performance.
• Create scripts and procedures for data migration and offer timely scheduled reports.
• Create data transformation and loading processes (ETL).
• Act as a technical resource in the support process of Octave systems at the client, including requirement gathering, creating solutions for the various challenges presented by the client's workflow, recommending best practices for such solutions, and supporting client resources in system support.
• Attend to incidents and requests through the platforms used by Octave; analyze incidents and propose workarounds and subsequent definitive solutions minimizing impacts to users considering the proposed SLA; have a clear understanding to perform both unit and integration tests for the delivered work.
• Perform advanced queries in the client's database management system, creating ready reports in the corresponding Octave solution, and extracting various reports to meet sporadic demands, including those from regulatory agencies.
• Assist in identifying the root cause of P1 incidents.
• Propose and implement improvements focused on stabilizing the environment and reducing incidents.
• Create and update the technical knowledge base of the team.
• Maintain source code repositories updated using bases such as DevOps (GIT) or TFS.
• Develop custom components for Octave solutions to address client demands or integration solutions.
• Provide support to the pre-sales team, assisting in product demonstrations to the client when necessary.
• Have good communication skills to interact with the client not only on technical topics.

This position is for remote full-time work.

Education / Qualifications

Technical requirements: Higher education in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent; experience in projects; experience in development using C#, PL/SQL (Oracle), JavaScript; practical knowledge of RESTful APIs; knowledge of relational databases (tuning, transactions, DUMPs); good oral and written communication skills; experience with integrations; experience with Microsoft operating systems; experience in requirements analysis; ability to conduct client training; minimum technical English.

Differentials: Knowledge of the businesses of clients such as the Electric Power, Gas, and Telecommunications sectors. Knowing the regulatory environment (State Norms) of these sectors, as many of them involve public service clients, is very helpful.
