About the Role
District Manager
The District Manager leads a network of retail stores within a designated district, driving operational excellence, performance, and profitability. This role is pivotal in building strong, accountable teams through clear communication, strategic talent development, and consistency execution of brand and company standards. You will navigate complexity while creating an inclusive, results-oriented environment.
What You'll Do:
Lead store teams to deliver consistent business results, ensuring accountability for operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate across departments and functions to align district performance with company goals, using clear communication to drive action and understanding.
Develop strong talent pipelines by coaching, mentoring, and implementing succession planning to ensure leadership continuity.
Analyze district performance using data tools like PowerBi to identify challenges and execute action plans for underperforming locations.
Navigate operational complexity by aligning priorities, managing resources, and maintaining brand and operational standards.
Create and support an inclusive work culture where diverse teams feel valued, empowered, and motivated.
Communicate effectively at all levels-tailoring messages to influence, engage, and drive alignment.
Ability to travel regularly to stores within assigned area.
Who You Are:
Required:
5+ years of District Management experience, including responsibility for leading, coaching, and developing store managers, driving sales and profitability, and ensuring consistent execution of company standards across multiple locations.
Skilled communicator with the ability to inspire teams and drive collaborations across functions.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills; able to manage complexity with confidence.
Proficient in retail technologies, reporting tools, and productivity systems.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Background in specialty retail or the apparel industry.
Demonstrated success turning around underperforming stores.
Experience with omnichannel retail and digital engagement strategies.
Well-connected in the retail industry with a track record in external recruiting.
