About the job Remote | Special Education & IEP Evaluation Consultant - $70-$110/hour We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for special education and IEP professionals experienced in reviewing IEP-related documents, accommodation plans, progress monitoring materials, assessment summaries, instructional support materials, spreadsheets, slide decks, and presentation-ready education artifacts for accuracy, rigor, clarity, and domain quality.This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on special education artifact review, IEP materials evaluation, rubric-based assessment, document and spreadsheet review, slide deck quality review, structured feedback, and high-quality project execution.

Selected professionals will evaluate AI-generated work products and apply subject-matter expertise to identify factual, instructional, accessibility, aesthetic, and presentation issues.Key Responsibilities Professionals in this role may contribute to: Special Education Artifact Review

  • Evaluate AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks involving special education, IEPs, accommodation plans, instructional supports, progress monitoring, student support summaries, and school-facing materials
  • Review special education materials for accuracy, completeness, rigor, clarity, and practical relevance
  • Assess whether materials are student-centered, age-appropriate, measurable, and aligned with the stated educational context
  • Identify unclear goals, incomplete support plans, weak instructional logic, inaccurate assumptions, or poor linkage between student needs and recommended supports
IEP Quality & Student Support Evaluation
  • Review materials involving present levels of performance, measurable goals, accommodations, modifications, service summaries, progress tracking, family-facing communication, and team planning materials
  • Assess whether IEP-related materials are clear, practical, appropriately structured, and useful for educators, families, or school teams
  • Evaluate progress monitoring tables, support plans, instructional recommendations, and education presentations for rigor and usability
  • Provide clear written feedback that improves special education artifact quality
Spreadsheet, Document & Presentation Quality Review
  • Review spreadsheets for structure, logic, calculations, formatting, usability, and consistency
  • Assess slide decks for organization, visual clarity, executive readability, and presentation quality
  • Identify factual, aesthetic, formatting, and presentation errors across Microsoft Office and Google Workspace files
  • Apply consistent review standards across documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks
Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in special education, IEP development, special education teaching, school-based student support, intervention planning, case management, instructional support, or related work
  • Native or professional fluency in English
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Strong experience with Google Slides, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Sheets, Word, and Google Docs
  • Ability to evaluate documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to provide structured feedback
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment
Educational Background
  • Academic backgrounds in special education, education, school psychology, child development, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, counseling, educational leadership, or related fields may be relevant
  • Advanced degree from a reputable institution may be valuable
  • Professional training in IEP development, special education support, progress monitoring, differentiated instruction, accessibility, or intervention planning may also be relevant depending on project scope
Nice to Have
  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field
  • Special education teaching credential, school psychology credential, speech-language pathology credential, or comparable school-based qualification
  • Experience creating or reviewing IEP goals, accommodation plans, progress monitoring materials, intervention plans, student support summaries, family-facing materials, or school team presentations
  • Familiarity with IDEA, 504 plans, MTSS, RTI, FBA/BIP materials, assistive technology, differentiated instruction, and accessibility-informed educational support
  • Strong ability to evaluate both special education substance and visual/presentation quality
