This leadership role is responsible for driving the successful end-to-end delivery of complex fiber infrastructure programs across dense metro and long-haul networks. You will oversee multi-disciplinary operations teams managing engineering, permitting, construction, and deployment activities across highly regulated environments. The position plays a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations. Accountabilities:- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing operations teams including project managers and coordinators, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of large-scale fiber infrastructure projects, including scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and milestone tracking.
- Manage vendor relationships including selection, bid management, contract negotiation, and performance oversight for engineering, environmental, and construction partners.
- Serve as the primary operational liaison for key client accounts, leading executive communications, business reviews, and escalation resolution.
- Ensure compliance and execution across the full OSP lifecycle, including engineering, permitting, construction, splicing, and testing activities.
- Validate vendor invoices, monitor project financials, and support capital budget management and cost optimization initiatives.
- Identify process inefficiencies and drive operational improvements to increase delivery speed, scalability, and overall service quality.
Requirements: - 10+ years of experience in operations leadership, ideally within fiber infrastructure, telecom, or large-scale OSP environments.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end Outside Plant (OSP) lifecycle projects, including engineering, permitting, construction, and deployment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and scale high-performing teams, including experience managing managers or senior project leaders.
- Strong executive communication skills with experience engaging clients, stakeholders, and senior leadership in high-stakes environments.
- Deep understanding of fiber network design, cost structures, construction practices, and regulatory/permitting requirements.
- Strong project planning, budgeting, and risk management capabilities across complex, multi-site programs.
- Proficiency with tools such as Google Workspace, Smartsheet, GIS platforms, and mapping tools (Google Earth/Maps).
- Ability to travel up to 20% as required for client meetings, project oversight, and field engagement.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, along with experience in data-driven operational environments.
