About the Role
Naval Architect
Everforth ECS is seeking a Naval Architect to work remotely.The primary focus of this position will be assisting program managers with day to day activities of ship acquisition.The duties include performing preliminary ship design studies; performing engineering analyses on ship's structure and foundations; conducting trade-off studies; and contract validation.Additional duties include ship checks, specification development; drawing review/modification, technical writing; performing cost estimates of design changes; and construction oversight.Other duties as assigned.Some travel will be required, principally to shipyard locations.Overseas travel is a possibility.
Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000 General Description of Benefits
BS degree in Naval Architecture
5 - 8 years of Naval Architectural design experience in early stage and functional stage design of ships.
Ability to perform structural analyses and load calculations, to ensure sound design and compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
Experience in performing stability analyses to support the development, maintenance and operational use of stability and loading instructions.
Experience with AutoCAD, ShipConstructor, NSERC, GHS, and Rhino.
