About the Role

Established, Searcy Arkansas consumer products packaing manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with process improvement experience

This position will be responsible for:

  • creating and implementing processes and procedures in an effort to increase operational efficiencies
  • assist in the development of a comprehensive tarining progream
  • assists with trouble-shooting equipment and process issues
Key Accountabilities

Coordinates with support groups to improve lamination and finishing quality, production efficiency, waste reduction, and cost improvements.

Develops, improves, and standardizes process conditions and procedures for lamination and finishing departments by researching and documenting best practices.

Monitors progress to ensure desired results are obtained.

Coordinates trials to establish the machinability of materials and capabilities of equipment.

Ability to record and analyze data collected.

Assists in developing and implementing a comprehensive training program for the lamination and finishing departments.

Maintains monthly project report. Assists with new equipment purchases, installations, start-ups, and qualifications.

Provides guidance and assistance in trouble-shooting production and process problems.

Develops resolutions to prevent reoccurrence.

Works with suppliers to lower cost and develop machine and component specifications.

Serves as an on-site resource for lamination and finishing issues.

Participates on management teams in the development of goals and directions for the business segment.

Participates in Industry Trade Associations to stay current on emerging technologies.

Assists in maintaining Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification as applicable.

Maintains work areas and related equipment in a neat and orderly manner.

Qualifications:
  • BS Degree in Engineering Required
  • 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering with process improvement experience
