Senior Accountant The Senior Accountant plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting financial reporting for a complex, multi-location organization. This position is responsible for overseeing core accounting activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting scalable processes across a geographically dispersed operation. This position is direct hire / permanent placement and will pay between $65K and $85K annually.
Responsibilities - Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple business units and locations
- Perform detailed general ledger analysis, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes in a high-volume transaction environment
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies
- Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide clear explanations to finance leadership
- Support accounting for large asset portfolios, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals
- Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data and consistent processes nationwide
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, controls, and reporting accuracy
- Provide guidance and review work of junior accounting staff as needed
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or CPA-eligible preferred
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
