About the CompanyOur client is a growing retail company headquartered in West Los Angeles. They are seeking a detail-oriented AR Accountant to join their accounting team on a temp-to-hire basis. This position will be responsible for accounts receivable operations, general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, experience in a product-based or retail environment, and familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Responsibilities- Manage full-cycle accounts receivable functions including billing, cash applications, collections, and account maintenance.
- Prepare and post journal entries related to AR, revenue, accruals, and other general ledger activity.
- Maintain and reconcile AR subledger to the general ledger.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Partner with sales, customer service, and operations teams to resolve billing and payment issues.
- Assist with revenue reporting and analysis.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits.
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within the accounting department.
- Support ad hoc accounting and financial reporting projects as needed.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience with a strong focus on accounts receivable.
- Experience with general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation is required.
- Strong account reconciliation experience.
- Retail, consumer products, apparel, wholesale, or ecommerce industry experience preferred.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Schedule- Temp-to-hire opportunity with potential for permanent conversion.
- Hybrid schedule (3 days onsite / 2 days remote).
- Convenient West Los Angeles location.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $45.00 per hour
