Salary: $70,000-$85,000 DOE

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their growing accounting team in Woodland Hills. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working with month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting in a collaborative environment.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, strong technical accounting skills, and experience working with ERP systems.
Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries
• Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Support financial statement preparation and reporting
• Analyze variances and research discrepancies
• Assist with fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
• Prepare accruals and prepaid expense schedules
• Support external audits by preparing requested documentation
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company accounting policies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on accounting and finance initiatives
• Assist with special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles
• Experience with general ledger accounting and month-end close
• ERP system experience required (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, JD Edwards, Epicor, or similar)
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Public accounting experience a plus
• CPA candidate or CPA designation preferred
• Experience supporting audits and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
