Manufacturing AccountantAbout the OpportunityOur client is seeking a detail-oriented
Manufacturing Accountant to join their growing finance team. This role is responsible for supporting financial reporting, cost accounting, inventory analysis, and month-end close activities within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, analytical skills, and the ability to partner with operations to drive financial accuracy and business performance.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory activity, and production variances.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Monitor standard costs and assist with cost updates and product cost analysis.
- Prepare financial reports and support management with operational and financial insights.
- Review inventory transactions and ensure proper accounting treatment.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
- Partner with manufacturing, operations, and supply chain teams to improve processes and controls.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
- Assist with external audits and other compliance-related activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting, and accounting processes.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
- Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing software environments.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with standard costing and inventory valuation methods.
- CPA or CMA certification, or progress toward certification.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and operational reporting.
- Background in a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment.

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
