About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with month-end close and reporting processes.

The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while collaborating across teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with financial reporting and preparation of internal statements
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
  • Analyze financial data and identify trends, variances, and issues
  • Assist with audit preparation and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with established accounting policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and accuracy
  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2+ years of accounting experience (public or industry) preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
  • Experience with general ledger and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas)
  • Experience with accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA or CPA eligibility (a plus)
  • Experience with month-end close and audit support
  • Familiarity with internal controls and compliance processes
Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
