We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated
Staff Accountant. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with month-end close and reporting processes.
The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while collaborating across teams.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with financial reporting and preparation of internal statements
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
- Analyze financial data and identify trends, variances, and issues
- Assist with audit preparation and documentation
- Ensure compliance with established accounting policies and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and accuracy
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience (public or industry) preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
- Experience with general ledger and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas)
- Experience with accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)
Skills & Competencies- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications- CPA or CPA eligibility (a plus)
- Experience with month-end close and audit support
- Familiarity with internal controls and compliance processes
Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
