We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated
Accounting Specialist to join a growing organization near the Holland, Michigan area. This permanent opportunity offers the chance to work with a collaborative team while supporting key accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and financial records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to invoices, payments, and account balances.
- Support payroll processing and employee expense reporting as needed.
- Maintain vendor and customer records while ensuring data accuracy.
- Assist with audits and provide requested financial documentation.
- Collaborate with internal departments to improve accounting processes and workflows.
Qualifications- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations experience.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general accounting functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
