About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Specialist to join a growing organization near the Holland, Michigan area. This permanent opportunity offers the chance to work with a collaborative team while supporting key accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and financial records.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to invoices, payments, and account balances.
  • Support payroll processing and employee expense reporting as needed.
  • Maintain vendor and customer records while ensuring data accuracy.
  • Assist with audits and provide requested financial documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to improve accounting processes and workflows.
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations experience.
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general accounting functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.

Pay Details: $49,999.00 to $55,000.00 per year
