LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Human Resource Representative to support our manufacturing client at their Irvine, CA location.
Key Skills:
  • Candidate who has worked with a large hourly population before (preferably in maintenance environment)
  • Familiar with HR laws (especially in California)
  • Be able to learn payroll (attention to detail, good with numbers, eager to learn)
  • Able to handle employee-relations complaints, write-ups, investigations, performance management for hourly employees
  • Able to find the best answer without much help - problem-solver/resourceful
  • good attention to detail
  • Contract role with potential to become permanent employee
  • Any company that does a high volume of work within a smaller
  • Not necessary to have been in Aerospace industry but needs manufacturing industry experience
  • Safety risk aware, has worked in environments with heavy machinery before
  • comfortable performing disciplinary write-ups/investigations
  • 3-5yrs of experience in Human Resources
  • 7:30am is latest start time for person (6:30 am to 3:30 pm ideal)
  • 80-100k for annualized salary if converted to FTE
Job Description:
This is an on-site role, requiring the HR professional to engage and execute on needs both large and small - tactical and strategic. This is an excellent role for someone looking to develop their HR competencies in a role where an HR professional can grow and thrive. With the support of the HR Supervisor and HR Director, the HR Generalist will regularly collaborate with the leadership of the business across all functions, interact with and influence multiple levels of the organization, provide coaching, counseling and drive a successful culture for the business. The HR Generalist will facilitate the best decisions for both the business and the employees in an environment of rapid change and growth.
How You Will Do It:
  • Partner with the business to support all processes with the employee lifecycle while ensuring appropriate application of HR policies and procedures including fulfilling general HR Administration activities (including recruitment, leave administration, payroll, employee relations, compensation, performance, talent development, employee engagement, diversity, and training)
  • Provide accurate and timely responses to management requests, be the steward of compliance with Company processes, data protection requirements, and maintain HR systems and records.
  • Support Strategic HR initiatives and HR Analytics for the business unit in conjunction with the HR Director and HR Supervisor.
  • Provide support with analyzing employment trends in the location(s)/business units reporting results and developing/monitoring action plans.
  • Primary point of contact for general employee issues, collaboration, coaching, concerns, or information. Mentor and provide guidance to employees related to career development.
  • Maintain HR dashboard/tracker on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Support and process bi-weekly payroll activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution of payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Additional responsibilities as required, and commensurate with the role.
What We Look For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of payroll experience required.
  • Working knowledge of payroll processes, timekeeping systems, wage and hour regulations, and payroll record maintenance.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting a large hourly workforce, including employee relations, attendance management, performance management, coaching, and corrective action processes.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with production and operations leaders in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including data analysis, dashboard creation, reporting, metric tracking, and executive-level presentations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of California employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience with HR systems and tools such as SuccessFactors, LinkedIn Recruiter, and Talent LMS is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, relevance, compliance, and business applicability.

Pay Details: $39.00 to $48.00 per hour
