LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a respected and growing law firm in Jacksonville, Florida, seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to support its Insurance Defense practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional who enjoys managing complex litigation matters, collaborating with attorneys, and contributing to successful case outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, from case opening through trial preparation.
- Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, notices, and legal correspondence.
- Review, analyze, summarize, and organize medical records, billing records, deposition transcripts, and other case materials.
- Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, expert witness meetings, and other litigation-related events.
- Maintain litigation calendars and ensure compliance with court deadlines.
- Assist with case strategy, factual investigations, and legal research.
- Prepare trial exhibits, witness files, exhibit lists, and trial notebooks.
- Manage case files and document production throughout the life of the case.
- Communicate professionally with clients, experts, medical providers, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Qualifications- 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience required.
- Prior insurance defense experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Florida state court procedures and litigation practices.
- Experience managing discovery, document review, and trial preparation.
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
- Paralegal certificate or degree is a plus but not required.
