About the OpportunityLHH is partnering with a highly respected California law firm, to identify a
Contract Attorney to support its growing
Retail Trade and
Environmental practice groups. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking sophisticated regulatory, compliance, and litigation work with a well-established firm known for handling complex California legal matters.
The firm is open to candidates with experience in either
Retail Trade/Consumer Protection or
Environmental Law and is willing to provide exposure and training in the complementary practice area.
Responsibilities- Conduct legal research and analysis of regulatory and litigation matters.
- Support attorneys on consumer protection, regulatory compliance, and environmental law matters.
- Retail Trade / Consumer Protection
- Proposition 65 defense
- California Legal Remedies Act (CLRA) matters
- Unfair Competition Law (UCL) claims
- False Advertising claims
- Consumer product compliance counseling
- Regulatory and risk management matters
- Environmental
- Property contamination litigation
- Clean Water Act citizen suits
- Environmental compliance and counseling
- Environmental regulatory research and analysis
- Environmental litigation support
- Draft memoranda, motions, pleadings, discovery, and client communications.
- Assist with case strategy, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance counseling.
Qualifications- Active California Bar membership in good standing.
- Approximately 2-8+ years of relevant legal experience.
- Experience in either Retail Trade/Consumer Protection or Environmental Law.
- Prior law firm experience preferred.
