Position Highlights

  • Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week (Monday–Friday) 6 Saturdays per year
  • Mix of inpatient and outpatient electrophysiology care

  • Work closely with 3 Electrophysiology Physicians and a team of 8 Advanced Practice Providers

About the Role

This is a busy, complex, and clinically challenging position focused on the care of patients with cardiac arrhythmias and electrophysiology-related conditions. The APP will play a critical role in managing patients throughout their care continuum, including hospital-based management and ambulatory follow-up. APPs will round Electrophysiologist to evaluate new inpatient consults and admissions. Following the initial physician evaluation, APPs assume primary responsibility for ongoing inpatient management, working collaboratively with the EP physicians to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.

Pay Range

$54.90 - $82.35

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • License/Registration/Certification Required: Active RN, and APRN/APRN-FPA/APNP or other APRN license(s) in state(s) of practice, AND Active national board certification in area of clinical practice and populations served, AND Active DEA registration prior to hire, AND If Illinois practice: active Illinois Controlled Substance License prior to hire, AND Active BLS and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by clinical practice prior to or within 6 months of hire
  • Education Required: Master’s Degree in Nursing
  • Experience Required: 1-2 years experience practicing as an APP required in Cardiology/Electrophysiology.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Demonstrated high level of clinical proficiency, and excellent decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective member of a health care team.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving technology and proficiency with the electronic medical record.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with and establish/build relationships with others.
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and twist continuously throughout the workday.
  • Must have functional speech, vision, touch, and hearing.
  • Must be able to: Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist.
  • Lift up to 20 lbs over the head.
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance.
  • Operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
